"Quitting smoking is easy, I've done it a hundred times" - Mark Twain

There are many reasons to quit smoking and one of them is the one that makes you chose to quit now and the reason for you to be on this web page. Most likely you have tried everything and have failed. Perhaps those failures have made your resolve stronger and perhaps it is making you feel like the walls are closing in and that there is nothing that will work for you.

Well one thing that you should look back at is what part of you was being worked on when you were trying to quit before today. Let me guess you probably used something to deal with the cravings like a gum or a patch? Okay well that takes care of the cravings for now and if used probably can help you lower the amounts of nicotine in your bloodstream but as you know very well some people quit smoking for months, sometimes years and start again, surely by then the nicotine was completely gone from their bloodstream? Of course it was! When the started smoking again they probably even found that first cigarette to be the worst that they ever had yet forced themselves to do it again and again why is that?

Surely you know what part of you is responsible for it. Your mind of course. More specifically your subconscious, see smoking is a subconscious act as much as its a conscious one. Same goes for the cravings, they simply are a response that your mind has to feelings of withdrawal. Your mind found that when the nicotine levels went down that the body was missing it and as such is sending a signal from your subconscious to your conscious mind to make you take action and smoke up. The whole process can completely by-pass the conscious altogether in your busy doing something else like talking on the phone for example, your talking to your best friend about that latest movie and when you hang up you realize that you have a cigarette in your hand...how did that happen?

2 Minds are better than one!

Most smoking cessation products are targeting your body and the conscious aspects of smoking such as how you feel and the habits you have developed such as having something in your hand when the solution would be to cater to both the conscious and the subconscious mind!

For example some smoking cessation products are cigarette shaped and are meant to be carried around like a cigarette!!! Now this is ridiculous! Why re-enforce the habit of holding a cigarette if your goal is to stop holding it?! This is actually a great example of a product that uses both minds but unfortunately its helping the conscious get rid of the craving while it re-enforces the smoking in the subconscious... the subconscious being the stronger of the two minds I will let you guess what happens.

Hypnosis work at both the conscious and unconscious levels and as such it bridges the gap between body and mind by working on a conscious and subconscious levels and that is what makes it so efficient in helping you become a Healthy Non-Smoker now! Using various Hypnosis and N.L.P. techniques we break the pattern that has made you go for that next cigarette and we replace it with new healthy and constructive habits to deal with the craving then eliminate them completely.

What does the Renaissance Smoking Cessation Program entails?

The Renaissance Smoking Cessation Program is a 3 session program that works in conjunction with your will power and  desire for change. It gives you the tools you need to be able to break the pattern of negative behaviours that re-enforce one's dependence to cigarettes. You should remember however that there are no silver bullets and that even Hypnosis will not make you do something that you do not truly desire or that your not fully committed to. Hypnosis is there to help you make  the process easier, not the decision. You should have a quitting plan. Governments and health organizations have resources to help you with that such as Health Canada's Quit4Life.
